A Raisin in the Sun Discussion
In literature , as in life, a character may search for a better way of life,one of the characters on Raisin in the Sun is Walter Lee he is trying to have a better life by having a better job where he can gain more money so he can afford a new house and can live with his family.
Walter is hoping to gain more money by investing in the liquor store, unfortunately neither Ruth or Mama want to give him the check that's why he can't invest into the liquor store because of that Walter can't get more money, and cant live better.
Walter is searching for a better life by trying to find a better job, because he already lost the opportunity of the liquor store but because of his anxiety his not helping the family but hurting it.
Another character from A Raisin in the Sun is Mama.
Mama is trying to gain a better life by making all his family happy, like buying a house with a garden whos husband Walter has always dreamed about, also by saving some money for Beneatha. Mama was having a hard time to think how to get all the money from the $10,000 check, fairly split out.
She attempted to bring the better change by buying a house for all the Lee family even when Walter is still upset, because he wanted to do something different with the money she tells him "When it gets like that in life--you just go to do something different,push on outt and do something bigger."
