Detention

“Alexa, the homework?” Ms.brown asked staring directly in my eyes.

“I didn’t do it” I said, looking down ashamed of what I had done.

“You are staying in detention”

I looked at her, hate was taking power over me, I beseech for her not to make me stay after school, what was I going to tell my mom? I had never stayed on detention with any teacher, it was only one homework missed, why such a big deal? I was filled with consternation, I still had one more class maybe I could skip detention… I didn’t know what to do and I thought that was the best thing to do.

At the end of the day, Ms.Fredercik’s class was over, I ran to the front door, hoping Ms.Brown wouldn’t catch me, I ran as fast as I could to the bus until ‘BAAM’ Mathew was there.

“Alexa, ms.brown is calling you, they just called you from the intercom, didn’t you hear?”

“What?”

“Yeah, she called you”

I felt shame, I looked back to the building and decide to go back, I walked slowly and scared. I got to the room, I sat in the first chair I could find I opened my room and there she was, Ms.Brown. I regretted my impetuous decision to skip decision of skipping detention.

“Where were you alexa?”

“Outside…”

“Doing what?”

“Sorry…”

Now I’ll try to do my homework and think over before I do something stupid like always.
